Special Announcement: Contactually Series A
Contactually was founded in 2011 with a few initial beliefs. These have guided everything that we’ve done for the past four years. And today, I’m happy to come to you with some great news.
In the spirit of transparency, one of our core values, I want to open with sharing them.

The most successful businesses in the world will be built upon personal, authentic relationships with their clients and partners.

Announcing the Contactually Series A

What they teach you in school is just the start. Being good at your craft is table stakes in today’s world. The key to our future — the gatekeeper to success — is the people that we surround ourselves with. People do business with people they know, and therefore the world needs a platform – a system – a team – that helps them engage with and leverage their key relationships.

Software should work for you, not require more work out of you.

It’s no secret that traditional business and enterprise software requires more work out of the end-user than actual value to them. When we’re home, we demand nothing but the best out of our software and our interfaces. If something is too hard, too slow, or too confusing, we will immediately move on. An end user is just a consumer at work.

There’s huge untapped potential in the biggest software market

CRM is soon to pass ERP as the biggest overall business software. Yet, when you walk into the average real estate brokerage, law firm, consulting agency, or small business — the average “CRM” is a spreadsheet. That’s because the top-down, enterprise-focused transactional CRM don’t fit the needs of millions and millions of professionals.

Building the best company requires building the best culture.

We knew that Contactually would require more than the three founders. Having the right team is crucial. Hire the absolute best and brightest people. Establish clear values, mission, and alignment. Pay them well, with competitive benefits to ensure they are well taken care of.

Beyond the 55+ strong team that works on Contactually day in and day out, we’re fortunate to surround ourselves with best-in-class mentors, advisors, and investors. By the way, we’re hiring.

And today, I’m happy to announce that Contactually has raised $8 Million in Series A financing. Our opportunity to bring our vision to the world has never been stronger.

We’ve been fortunate to bring Grotech Ventures, Rally Ventures, Correlation Ventures, and real estate influencer Tom Ferry onto our team. They’re joining an already stellar cast of investor partners — Point Nine Capital, 500 Startups, Bull City Venture Partners, Middleland Capital, Boston Seed, Flight.VC, and many angel investors. You’ve believed in us — many of whom well before there was anything to believe.

As important as the capital, which enables us to grow the team to build rocketship Contactually, we’re excited to bring on two new partners on to our team.

“We’ve been tracking Contactually’s progress for some time, and believe they’re on to a multi-billion dollar market opportunity,” said Jeff Hinck, general partner at Rally Ventures. “In a short time so far, they’ve built an impressive team and culture, a solid product, and significant revenue.”
“We’re impressed by the superior execution of the innovative ideas by Zvi and team, and the traction so far with customers is remarkable,” said Don Rainey, general partner at Grotech Ventures. “We’re excited to partner with another unfolding DC success story.”

Where we go from here

We spent the past four years proving ourselves. Proving that we can build a product that fulfills our vision. Proving that we can market and sell it. Proving that we can build a strong team and culture to support it.

Looking forward, there’s a ton on our plate already — improving our mobile experience, streamlining the user experience. But honestly, we’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible.

We can’t wait to show you what we’re up to. Come in and see what we’re about.

  1. Congrats on the latest round of fund raising. Am a user and huge fan of this CRM and feel it is the best I have ever used, in my 20 year career, in terms of fostering and maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships. The more resources Contactually can marshal towards the continued refinement and marketing of their product, the better professionals like myself will be able perform in their respective marketplace.

  5. ahhh.. I so wish I could code :D

    Dear Zvi and crew-
Through the magic of DC living and happenstance I interfaced with 2 of your supporters.

I was at a Tom Ferry event in NOVA when he mentioned that what he was using as a CRM was Contactually. I jumped on then. Tom Ferry is extraordinary.
Then within months, across the street from my office I bumped into Marvin Ammori, a great supporter of Local DC businesses’ start-ups and other things, of which I am as well.
WOW, a professional in the field and a random meeting. Both your boosters. I support both USA and DC Entrepreneurs.

Thanks for making my life as a RE Agent in DC much easier than I ever could’ve imagined.
I only wish you the greatest success in whatever you want.
    my best regards, Isabel Smith
